Verse 3:40

Meaning

Supreme God Krishna spoke

The sense organs, mind, and intellect are said to be the seats of desire. Desire employs these three to enshroud wisdom and put the embodied Self under a spell of delusion. (3:40)

श्रीभगवान् उवाच

इन्द्रियाणि मनो बुद्धिरस्याधिष्ठानमुच्यते ।

एतैर्विमोहयत्येष ज्ञानमावृत्य देहिनम् ॥ 3:40 ॥
